So my ever-critical, ever-wonderful teenagers have been asking me why do I post pictures of my jewelry on the web. I am not making money this way and am spending valuable creating time on the internet. So this is my conclusion: Peer-feedback and recognition... we all have some narscisism (how on earth do I spell this word?) in us and need to be seen and heard. Instant market research. I have been amazed and encouraged that the pieces that I have made that are not made following someone else's guidelines or ideas, but have been my very own, have received the most positive feedback. This keeps me going even if my daughters comments on my creations range from "weird, mom" to just weird...
